How Long Do Temporary Emails Last?
Learn about disposable email lifespans and how to control how long your inbox stays active on InboxBurn.
Default Lifespan
On InboxBurn you choose the duration:
How to Change the Duration
The expiry picker is at the top-right of your inbox — click 1h, 6h, 24h or 3d before you start using the address.
Extending Your Inbox
Click Extend to reset the countdown at any point during the active window.
What Happens When It Expires?
All emails are permanently deleted from our servers when the address expires. There is no recovery — copy anything you need beforehand.
Tip: Custom Prefix
If you need the same address across sessions, set a custom prefix with the Custom button. Same prefix tomorrow = same address.
